Funding & Direct Billing
Most patients at Eastgate pay nothing out of pocket. Extended health plans, WCB workplace claims, Section B motor vehicle benefits, Alberta Health Care for eligible surgeries, and Veterans Affairs and RCMP benefits are all billed directly by the clinic. This section explains each route and what to bring.
Injured at work: WCB. In a car accident: Section B through your auto insurer. After hip or knee replacement or a major fracture: Alberta Health Care may fund visits. Everything else: your extended health plan, or self-pay with receipts. Unsure? Call and the front desk will check for you.
Yes; we submit to the primary and then the secondary where the insurers allow.
Not for covered treatment.
Some plans require a physician referral to reimburse; check your policy or ask us.
