About Eastgate

New Management. Experienced Therapists. Same Commitment to You.

Eastgate opened on Fir Street more than three decades ago and has grown into one of Sherwood Park’s longest-running rehabilitation clinics. Under new management led by physiotherapist Satish Pandya, the focus hasn’t changed: listen properly, assess thoroughly, and build a plan around your life — not a generic protocol.

Physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, IMS and custom orthotics sit under one roof, so your care stays coordinated from the first session to your last.

Common Questions

Your Guide to Your First Physiotherapy Appointment

Still have a question? Call us at (587) 200-4874 — we’re happy to help before you book.

No. Physiotherapists in Alberta have had direct access since 1995, so you can book without seeing a doctor first. Some extended health plans still require a referral for reimbursement — check your policy or ask us.

Alberta Health funds physiotherapy in limited cases — mainly after hip or knee replacement, major fracture, or significant orthopaedic surgery. Most other care is covered by extended health benefits, WCB, or a motor vehicle claim.

Most acute conditions improve within 6u20138 sessions. Chronic conditions, WCB, and MVA cases often need longer. We tell you what to expect after your assessment and re-check progress as we go.

Allow at least one hour. Arriving 10 minutes early to complete intake forms helps. A thorough first session lets us complete a full assessment and begin treatment right away.

Both use fine needles. Acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine points; IMS is a Western technique that targets tight, shortened muscle bands linked to nerve irritation. Your clinician will recommend whichever suits your condition.

Many extended health plans include registered massage therapy. The amount varies by plan, so check your policy before your first visit. We can direct-bill most insurers.
